Still Life by Autum 7th Grade
Our 7th Grade second period class is developing an eye for contrast and creating works that depict contrast through backround forground creations, color analysis, tactile and implied texture and value changes. Way to go 2nd period!!!!

Third Period 7th Grade is using only yarn and other tactile/actual texture to develop a still life. They are doing a FANTASTIC job staying focused on a task that requires a lot of FOCUS and patience. We are using yarn that is folded and cut into different sizes to produce these pieces.

ALL 7th grade class have begun a study on value. Value is a study of lights and darks and the gradual transitions dark takes to become lighter. We had a ball beginning a realism study of the face in which we used value to depict the depth of eyelids and the structure of facial features. Take a look...
4th Period 8th grade is really shaping up!!!! We are also working on texture and creating parrots through the use of yarn and other contrasting materials.
